What is X Race?

The Sport of Fitness Racing has exploded over the last couple of years, and here at Superhuman Sports we have been delivering world class outdoor functional fitness events since 2013, with our UK based events attracting fitness enthusiasts from all over the globe!

X Race is our ‘outdoor fitness racing series’, inspired by the five challenges of Superhuman Games!

The sport is a slick combination of Functional Fitness, Trail Running, Ruck Running and Obstacles.

The format for each race remains the same, with the events being hosted at some of the UK’s most iconic and stunning outdoor locations.

The trail routes, fitness challenges and entry categories are all carefully designed to ensure that newcomers can participate in the events alongside more experienced fitness racing athletes.

You don’t need any fancy equipment to train for X Race, you’ll find everything you need in pretty much all gym environments! …. Plus we’ve even put together a free 8-week training plan here!

The aim of the game is simple, complete the course as quickly as possible!

You can either enter the competitive heats and compare your course time against your fellow athletes in our individuals, same sex pairs or mixed pairs categories! (see FAQs for more info on the pairs categories)

Or you can enter the ‘Just for Fun’ heats & take on the route by yourself or with as many friends as you'd like! (Note: there’s no time cap, so you can go at your own pace)

We also have a number of discounted charity entries available for those looking to run for a cause! Please email events@superhumansports.com for more information.

The atmosphere and camaraderie at our events are legendary, so no matter what your current ability you’re in for an incredible fitness racing experience in the great outdoors!
